Privacy Policy
Effective July 21, 2026
This policy explains what Trimline collects, why we collect it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.
1. Who we are
Trimline provides tools that help barbers and clients manage profiles, haircut records, portfolios, business hours, booking requests, and appointments. For privacy questions or requests, email trimlinedev@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Trimline, we may collect:
- Account information: name, email address, optional phone number, authentication identifiers, account roles, and active account mode.
- Barber information: username, shop name, biography, location, services, business hours, and public portfolio information.
- Client and haircut information: client name, contact details entered by a barber or client, haircut preferences, notes, style tags, haircut dates, and uploaded photos.
- Booking information: selected barber, requested service, requested date and time, notes, appointment status, and related scheduling records.
- Technical information: device, browser, IP address, authentication, security, and usage information processed by our service providers when you access Trimline.
3. How we use information
- Provide accounts, profiles, booking, scheduling, client-management, and photo features.
- Connect booking requests and appointments between clients and barbers.
- Store and display content according to the privacy or public-profile choices available in the service.
- Secure Trimline, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and legal requests and comply with applicable law.
4. When information is shared
Trimline may share information in the following situations:
- Between users: information needed for a booking or barber-client relationship may be visible to the relevant barber or client. Content marked for a public barber profile may be visible to other users.
- Service providers: we use Google Firebase for authentication, database, and file storage, and Vercel for website hosting and delivery. These providers process information to operate their services.
- Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or safety, investigate abuse, or enforce our terms.
- Business changes: information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
Trimline does not currently sell personal information or use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Photos and client records
Barbers must have appropriate permission before uploading or publishing photos or personal information about a client. Private client records are intended for authorized barber-client use. A barber is responsible for the accuracy and lawful collection of information the barber adds to Trimline.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide Trimline, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and enforce agreements. Retention may vary by data type. Information may remain temporarily in backups or records that must be retained for legal, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
You may update certain account and profile information within Trimline. You may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your information by emailing trimlinedev@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights and the right to appeal a denied request.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including authenticated access and service-provider security controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your password confidential and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
9. Children
Trimline is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or provide personal information through Trimline. If you believe a child under 13 provided information, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
10. United States processing
Trimline is operated in the United States. Information may be processed and stored in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate, subject to their terms and applicable law.
