Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Trimline. By creating an account or using Trimline, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.

1. The service

Trimline provides technology for barber and client profiles, portfolios, client records, business hours, booking requests, appointments, and related tools. Trimline is a technology platform and does not itself provide barbering services, employ barbers, guarantee appointments, or control the quality, legality, safety, pricing, or performance of services arranged between users.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Trimline. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use Trimline only with permission of a parent or legal guardian. You must provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and promptly notify us of unauthorized account use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Barber and client responsibilities

• Barbers are responsible for their licenses, qualifications, services, prices, availability, taxes, client communications, and compliance with health, safety, consumer-protection, and other applicable laws.
• Clients are responsible for reviewing service details, arriving as agreed, communicating changes, and complying with a barber's disclosed policies.
• Users are responsible for resolving service, cancellation, refund, injury, or quality disputes directly with each other unless Trimline expressly offers a separate resolution process.
• Trimline does not guarantee that a booking request will be accepted or that any user will complete an appointment.

4. Client information and photo consent

You may upload or enter content only when you have the legal right and appropriate permission to do so. Barbers must obtain appropriate client permission before uploading haircut photos or personal information and must obtain any additional permission needed before making a client's image public. Do not enter sensitive information that is unnecessary for barbering or scheduling.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant Trimline a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and process that content only as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide Trimline according to your settings. You represent that your content does not violate another person's privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, or other rights.

6. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use Trimline for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, or deceptive activity.
• Upload content without permission or content that infringes rights, contains malware, or exposes unnecessary sensitive information.
• Access another user's account or private information without authorization.
• Interfere with Trimline, bypass security controls, scrape the service at scale, or attempt to discover vulnerabilities except through authorized testing.
• Misrepresent your identity, credentials, availability, services, reviews, or relationship with another person or business.

7. Bookings, payments, and third-party services

Booking features help users communicate and organize appointments. Unless Trimline expressly states otherwise, payments, deposits, refunds, cancellations, and no-show charges are handled outside Trimline and are agreements between the barber and client. Trimline relies on third-party providers such as Firebase and Vercel; their services may be subject to separate terms and availability.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using Trimline at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, investigate misconduct, comply with law, or enforce these Terms. To request account and associated data deletion, email trimlinedev@gmail.com.

9. Beta service and changes

Trimline is an evolving service and may include beta or testing features. Features may change, experience interruptions, or contain errors. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features and may update these Terms. Continued use after an effective update means you accept the revised Terms where permitted by law.

10. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIMLINE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT TRIMLINE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR THAT APPOINTMENTS OR USER CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TRIMLINE AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, PERSONAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY USERS, OR DISPUTES BETWEEN USERS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO TRIMLINE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF $100 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID DIRECTLY TO TRIMLINE DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

12. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Trimline and its operator from claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your barbering or other services, your violation of these Terms or law, or your infringement of another person's rights.

13. Disputes and applicable law

Before filing a claim, you agree to contact trimlinedev@gmail.com and attempt an informal resolution for at least 30 days. These Terms are governed by applicable United States law and the law of the state in which Trimline's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

14. General terms

If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a business reorganization or sale. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and Trimline regarding the service.
